altitude distributions of CS2 , H2S, and NH3 suggest that CS2 was created by chemistry in the plume but that H2S and NH3 We present a comprehensive analysis of spectra in the 175– were injected into the stratosphere from below by upwelling 230 nm wavelength region obtained by the Faint Object Spectroover spatial scales of thousands of kilometers associated with graph of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) to determine the the impact. The presence of H2S on July 18 suggests that the abundance of molecular species in the vicinity of the G and L G fragment penetrated at least as deep as the NH4–SH impact sites. Data were obtained on July 18, roughly 3 hr after clouds.  1996 Academic Press, Inc. the G impact, on August 9, and on August 23. All spectra clearly show signatures of aerosols and gaseous CS2 and NH3 . The spectra obtained on July 18 also show the spectral signature

In vitro study of drug-protein interaction using electronic absorption, fluorescence, and circular dichroism spectroscopy

In the near future, design of a new generation of drugs targeting proteins will be required. Considering the complex bond between the drug and protein, the structure and stability of the target protein should be considered. So far, a series of in vitro investigations have been conducted with the aim of predicting drug-biological medium interactions. In these studies, use of spectroscopic method...

Study of the Interaction of Cinnamaldehyde with Alpha-lactalbumin: Spectroscopic and Molecular Docking Investigation

Cinnamaldehyde is an important compound of the cinnamon essential oil, and it is responsible for the most of the health benefits of cinnamon. Enriching foods such as milk with cinnamaldehyde can lead to greater utilization of cinnamaldehyde properties. In this study, we investigated the interaction of cinnamaldehyde with bovine alpha-lactalbumin. Analyzing the spectrum of alpha-lactalbumin in t...

The HIV-1 HLA-A2-SLYNTVATL is a help-independent CTL epitope.

The CTL response to the HLA-A*0201-restricted, HIV-1 p17 Gag(77-85) epitope (SLYNTVATL; SL9) has been extensively studied in patients. Although this reactivity is exceptionally prominent in chronically infected patients and inversely correlated to viral load, SL9-specific CTLs (SL9-CTLs) are rarely detected in acute infection. To explore the cellular basis for this unusual manifestation, SL9-CT...
